{{Appearance}} Standing at a height of 6'8" tall, Dane is pretty intimidating in his human form already, which is also the form someone would likely see him in. He is also a pretty darn muscular man, his weight being around 400 lbs. Despite the fact that this is rather insane for a normal human, it's not like Dane is a normal human either. Having more or less black skin (or rather, the darkest a normal human can have, mind you), he is of Aboriginal Australian descent (rather, his world's equivalent). As such, his hair is raven black, in a military style cut. However, his hair is a bit longer than the normal version the cut, but not so much that it's a different hairstyle entirely. He also has rather thick eyebrows, and has a full beard. Dane's eye color is brown, simple as that.

Usually wrapped around his head is a bandana with a military camo pattern. His preferred clothing is usually a simple t-shirt and pair of jeans. Of course, his jeans are held up by a belt, so he's not an utter slob so to speak. However, there are some clothes that he wears which have a few rips and tears on them, which does lead to the occasional questioning, but Dane usually ignores this. As for shoes he can be seen wearing a pair of brown combat boots. This doesn't mean thought that he won't dress properly for various occasions, as again, there is the fact that he does seem to know better. No matter what he's wearing though, on his left hand is a simple, gold wedding ring that is somewhat bigger than his ring finger, although still remains on there. If anything, this is something he makes sure to take care of.

As for when weretasmanian tiger form, he is more or less a bipedal tasmanian tiger (or thylacine, depending on the preferred wording). While in this form, he stands at a height of 7'5", and because of the increased height and muscle, weighs around 500 lbs. at this point. Of course, this explains the rips and tears in some of his clothing. This explains why his wedding ring is bigger than his finger in his normal, human form.

{{History}} As what would be expected, Dane's original homeworld was not Traverse Town. Instead, he was born on an alternate 'Earth', so to speak, where its inhabitants are humans and werecreatures of many species. Dane himself is naturally a werecreature, being a werethylacine. It wasn't publicly known that weres existed, since it was thought that some 'humans' were simply built differently. He had to learn how to control his various instincts and the like, but other than that there wasn't much going on during the first portion of his life. More or less Dane just went on through his life, although had a habit of being much more serious in personality than other people he was around.

When he was in high school, he ended up joining the wrestling team, which was where this started wrestling as Dane's preferred style of fighting, if he ever were to get in a fight. While in high school though, it turned out that he became confrontational when others around him began messing with Dane. He wasn't really able to control his temper all too well, and because of this, began getting into physical fights. After a while though, these shenanigans became too much, and as such, got into some deep trouble. This was when Dane began to avoid conversing with people, and became a stubborn guy. Along with all of this, he didn't know what to do with his life, and upon graduating high school, went to join the military. In all honesty, he didn't really desire to do much else.

During his years in the military, his serious demeanor was only fueld more, and typically he did nothing more than do his job and train himself. When he was thirty years old, Dane was finally convinced to take at least a short vacation. Although annoyed by such, he did as he was asked, but the only difference was that he still didn't change much. While on his break, he met an asian woman named Saotome Yamagishi, who at first he didn't want much to do with. After some time of ending up seeing each other on various occasions, Dane eventually gave in and started talking with this woman. Even though he retained his typicaly attitude, the man did show to have feelings for Saotome, albeit it being rather difficult to express them. At one point, Dane and Saotome married, and any and all issues about Dane's side of the family being weres was settled beforehand.

However, Dane returned to the military soon after, only returning to his wife on few occasions. During one of the visits to his wife, she wound up becoming pregnant with their future, and only, child. Thankfully Dane's father, Sibald, was living with his wife to make sure Saotome wasn't along while the man was away. On the downside, nine months later, Dane wasn't there when his kid was born, and thus had no real choice in naming what was his son. His son's name ended up being Tomonari Joshua Cahal, and although he was the child of a human and a werecreature, the kid turned out to not have any 'were' form at all. Even though he said nothing more about it, Dane was still disappointed that his only kid did not become a werethylacine. As usual though, the man simply continued his career in the military.

For eight more years he did his usual thing, visiting his family on certain occasions. However, even though it was typically upsetting that a kid hardly saw his parent who was in the military, Dane and his son didn't have too good of a relationship. Each time they saw each other it was awkward, and neither of them really sat down and talked. It wasn't until these eight years went by that things between him and his son truly became awkward. Finally the man had decided to settle down and retire from the military, and got a job along with his pension in order to support his family. This didn't last for too long on this world, as a few months later, invaders not of their world had begun attacking this world's residents.

The creatures in question were inky black with typically yellow eyes, with Dane and his wife fighting them off in order to protect their son. However, at one point the creatures overwhelmed them, and ended up killing his wife. Despite being enraged by this, Dane still had to protect his son, but it turned out he couldn't do much. Darkness had begun surrounding Dane and his only child, but the man held the boy the entire time. Eventually, the darkness had swallowed them, but some sort of fate had allowed them to live. Upon waking up, with his son shivering in fright in the man's arms, Dane had arrived in what he discovered to be a place called Traverse Town. Although he was confused and angered, he calmed down soon enough, and found himself obtaining a home and job for him and his son to survive with.

Living in the First District from then on, Dane became closed off to other people again, except for his son. Even then however, it was too awkward of a relationship for him to really share a strong bond with the boy. So, from then on, the man just lived his life as best as he could on this strange world, more or less having the mindset of raising a son as just another job...

• (150) Limit Break- Primordial Thylacine: Simply enough, during this limit break, Dane changes into his were-thylacine form. While in his 'were' form, his physical strength and defense increases, and he continuously assaults any enemies around him. This can include things such as slashing with claws, or biting an opponent alongside his typical fighting style. This form only lasts for a certain amount of time, or he is defeated. At that time, Dane reverts back to his human form. If it is during a full moon, however, he remains in his 'were' form, and upon the end of the Limit Break his strength and the like simply reverts to normal.
  
• (50) Brick Wall: He is able to complete a basic attack or other attacks without interruption, even if he takes damage.
  
• (50) Dodge Slide: Ducking down some, he shifts his feet so that he can slide 180 degrees around the opponent in front of him. This can make for good counter attacks, although large opponents may shorten the distance by which he can slide. As such, he can only circle around an opponent with this ability, not move away or towards.
  
• (75) Guard: Simply enough, he guards against an attack in some way, such as putting his arms up or tensing his body.
  
• (75) Blowback Lariat: A 'charge' move, so to speak. He first must gather his strength in his arms, and upon finishing, extends his arms out and spins in a 360 degree circle once, hands clenched as fists. Any opponent within his range that is hit with this attack will be knocked back a good distance away from Dane. This is usually used when facing a group of enemies, but he can also be attacked during the charge period.

Irritable as he might be, the man had decided to take a walk through the second district of Traverse Town, despite the fact that Heartless were roaming about. He needed to calm down though, or at least, he figured he might as well try to calm himself down. It was doubtful that a simple walk would get through to Dane's stubborn head, so perhaps he was just mindlessly making sure he didn't get lazy. Rather, when he had nothing else to do the man couldn't make himself just sit down. There was no point in thinking about though, as it would only make him even more irritable than he already was. Also, he was already walking down the stairs into the courtyard area, where Heartless seemed to prefer appearing in. In a sense, it seemed logical for them to do so, since there was quite a bit of room to roam around.

He figured that at least one would show up around here, which was something Dane could be prepared for. Now how many showed up and the like, he couldn't determine. Today would probably be a lucky day, however, as only one Heartless showed up in front of the man. With a scowl, Dane looked at the Large Body Heartless, who simply scratched its head for a moment. Upon seeing the human man in front of him, the Heartless immediately charged at Dane. Growling to himself, he put his arms up to guard, and tensed his body so that he remained standing where he was. Dane took the Large Body's attack, which caused the Heartless to stop in its tracks. Immediately, the man released his guard, and shifted his right foot to the inside of the Heartless's right foot, then ducked and swung himself around to the back of the dark creature.

Once he was behind the Large Body, Dane grabbed the Heartless, and tossed it up into the air forcefully. Then, the man positioned himself to bend down, and jump into the air. Of course, he could only jump a couple feet despite how strong he was. Upon coming in contact with the Large Body again, the man grabbed the Heartless, then did a piledriver right into the ground. Releasing the creature, Dane quickly stood back up, with the Large Body standing with its back turned to the man. However, the Heartless was having a difficult time standing, but the man was going to end this, "Get outta here, maggot!" With a forceful punch, Dane defeated the Large Body in a puff of smoke. Sighing irritably, he took a few steps back to pull himself together. That rather short fight did take off some stress, he had to admit.
