What a strange place... thought Allora as she pushed open the rusty iron gate, it swung open with a low groan before the whistling wind slammed it back into place. The dark coloured ground was thick with white fog while the sky was black starless and empty. Except, of course for the full yellow moon that sat boldly in the sky looming over the rest of the seemingly dead world. In all honesty it only seemed to encourage the gothic aspect of the world. Creating a creepy atmosphere that kept the hairs on her sleeveless arms on end - wait, sleeveless?....
Where had her dress gone? Her blue eyes cast themselves down her body. Her whole outfit had changed! Instead of the casual dress she usually adorned sat a black and purple Victorian velvet dress. One arm was covered in an array of bandages while the other was covered in a beautiful arm decoration that matched the trimmings on her dress. She ran over to the fountain her eyes widening to saucers.
Her hair fell loose in its usual array of pink curls except on her head sat a tiny top hat that masked the top half of her face shrouding her eyes in darkness. The Halloween decorations on her legs seemed to match her arms; while one was covered in a knee high stocking the other was festooned with a fixture of bandages. All while the platforms on her feet sat scuffed with age.
“Oh my...” she breathed softly. She looked so scary... even her quiver of arrows took on a dark persona. She twiddled her thumbs idly as her eyes surveyed the area critically. The place was so nerve wracking, if any heartless did appear she wouldn’t know whether they were actual heartless or inhabitants of this land. She nibbled her bottom lip shyly. There had to be someone here...

The sky was pitch black and the trees were skeletal, dead brown branches reaching helplessly up toward the sky. Strands of cobwebs hung from the branches along with the occasional worn and frayed bit of rope. Used just for hanging decorations? One could only hope. The trees, eerie as they were, were only the backdrop to the rows upon rows of decaying tombstones. A few even had a few questionable rust-colored stains over the light-grey stone, the discoloration seeping through the cracks.
The hillside that Riku found himself walking through looked like it had been pulled straight from a horror movie but the silver-haired teen felt nothing more than a mild sense of irritation. He had known about the magic of Halloween Town and he knew that the world tended to shift the appearance of those who went there to make them blend in with the locals, but up until now Riku had managed to avoid looking like one of the monsters that lived there. The first times he had been under the ‘protection’ of Maleficent’s magic, and afterward he had already been disguised with the cloak and hood of the organization. For the first time ever the keyblader had actually appeared as he was on this world.
And he really wasn’t all that pleased.
“Oh what… in the hell…?” The silver-haired teen looked down at himself before sighing. Before he had been wearing blue jeans and a black vest, a yellow vest on top of that, and now… Remnants of the clothing was still there, but it looked like he had been in some sort of accident. His jeans appeared to be shredded with blood staining the areas around the cuts, and the flesh that was visible beneath it was wrapped in blood-soaked bandages. In a few spots the ‘injuries’ could be seen, oozing open flesh wounds that looked like they had been inflicted by a knife. The attack patterns continued over his arms and along his torso.
From what he could see his stomach was the worst part of it. His shirt was ‘shredded’ away entirely, exposing dirty bandages that were wrapped around him. They seemed to be doing little good as something was still escaping out from under the bandages, something that Riku couldn’t entirely identify. He would have guessed it was supposed to be, well… his insides, except it seemed to be moving. So… am I an accident victim or…? More likely an infection or parasite zombie; the handle of the blade sticking out of his back made it clear that something had supposedly attacked him before.
It was all just a costume but Riku couldn’t help but feel a little sick at the ‘injuries’ lining his body. After a moment he forced his gaze away from himself and glanced around, trying to pay attention to the world around him. The silver-haired teen didn’t have any particular goal with being there, but it was obvious from his short time spent in the Garden with a certain special Nobody that something was definitely amiss. It was almost as if time had been spun back and what was done was being undone but that just wasn’t possible.
Was it?
He shook his head as he started off, walking toward the main center of town. There was no use in just sitting around and thinking about it. The best thing the keyblader could do was start investigating the worlds. Each and every one of them. And I get stuck looking like a reject from the Thriller video. Awesome. His mouth twitched into a grin before Riku shook his head. No point whining about it. The sooner he looked around, the sooner he would get to leave.
As he found himself approaching the fountain the stood in the center of town Riku spotted a strangely-dressed pink haired girl. Well, strangely dressed by his standards, though her attire seemed to completely match the rest of the world. There was something a little off about her though – she seemed to look almost brighter than everything else surrounding her. Do you actually belong here? Was that even important? Well… well yes. If I want to know what’s going on around here, at least…
“Hello.” Knowing fully how discomforting his appearance could be Riku stopped several paces away from her before offering the woman a slightly-hesitant smile. “Are you from… around here?”

Allora was lost in her pensive thoughts. Everything here was so overwhelming; she’d never really been a huge fan of scary movies so a town drenched in Halloween attire shredded her nerves.
science.... logic, just keep thinking of that Allora
But she had to be brave, for all she knew this world could be her father’s home. Even if it wasn’t in his usual taste. He was like Allora and had never been a fan of horror movies or scary stories, though it was for an entirely different reason. Being a man of science, Allora found her father could never sit through most fantasy based things without poking at least a little bit of fun at them, or complaining about their inaccuracies.... Allora on the other hand was just terrified when it came to things like that. She would never admit that to anyone though, she didn’t want them questioning her reasons for coming to the town.
The fountain bubbled and brewed almost masking the sound of the upcoming footsteps. She turned at the sound of the greeting, but when her eyes fixed themselves upon the new comer her mouth fell agape and a small shriek escaped her lips out fright. Allora clasped a hand over her mouth as if trying to suppress the yelp. Feeling almost immediately guilty for
Oh great, now I’ve offended him... She held her hands up, as if they could pluck the reaction from the air as she began to furiously apologise.
“I-I’m sorry.” She countered absolutely horrified with herself. “I didn’t mean to react – it’s just your outfit, it took me by surprise.” She explained at an exhilarating pace.
She shook her head at his question. “N-no, sorry. I, I’m looking for someone, have been for a while really,” she said trying her hardest not to digress “I guess I kind of got lost, what about you?” she began offering a tiny friendly smile. She surveyed his appearance “or did this place change your clothes too?”

When the woman turned to face him and gave a rather obvious start toward his appearance it confirmed it for Riku – whoever she was, she most definitely wasn’t of this world. Which meant, quite obviously enough, that she was another traveler like he was. Could she be involved with whatever… whatever this is? If she was the type of person to be frightened by a little blood and guts then probably not, but there weren’t many other explanations he could come up with that would explain just where she came from and why she was here. I could, you know, always just ask her…
Direct and straight forward and it would ruin any chance of there being some horrible misunderstanding later on. What fun was that?
“There’s no need to apologize,” he said softly with a small wave of his hand. “I don’t exactly look like myself right now.” Maybe he wasn’t always the cheeriest appearing person, but normally he wasn’t so blood splattered.
“You’re looking for someone?” Riku doubted that he would know whoever it was that she was trying to find, or that he would be able to give her any real help – at least not right now. The silver-haired teen was on his own search and the fact that the worlds seemed to have jumped forward three years while he… slept? wasn’t helping how he felt at all. It was incredibly disconcerting to go somewhere and see how much it had changed when, as far as he could remember, he had last visited that world only a few weeks ago.
Well this place at least seems to look the same as always. Just… creepy… like it was before.
He knew he wasn’t supposed to admit to being an interloper from another world; or, at least, that was how the rules had been before. Were there even rules now? Weren’t all the worlds aware of each other at this point? Guh… my head hurts… There were too many rules, too many Ifs and Thens and Buts, and unlike before there was no Mickey – and no Sora – around to give him advice or show him what to do. Doing it all on his own was… a horribly terrifying prospect.
“No, I’m not from here. I’m from-“ Riku paused for a moment before smiling. Admitting he was from another world was one thing, but admitting where he was from was another. “I’m from the Radiant Garden. I’m actually here because I’m looking for someone too. Maybe we could help each other. At least while we’re here, at least.”

So he is a traveller... It was oddly comforting to find someone else that was alien to this world. In all its freakiness - No wait, she couldn’t think that, it was offensive to the people that lived here. But who could blame her; it was stupid of her to have come to this place. Her father wouldn’t be here. But yet she couldn’t extinguish that flame of hope, she had to check everywhere. So she couldn’t let silly things like fear stop her from checking places. It just wouldn’t do. She had to be brave no matter what. Even – even if it meant taking risks; if she couldn’t do this, then it proved it. She truly was useless...
She cocked her head to one side when the newcomer said he was from Radiant Garden, feeling the guilt swim through her mind. Oh god he didn’t look familiar at all, what if she’d met him before? What if asking his name offended him. She’d just feel so bad. The more logical part of her brain hushed her worries. Obviously if I’d met him before he’d know to... idiot... She really could be dumbass sometimes. “Oh, that makes two of us, it’s my home world as well.”
But if he really was from Radiant Garden, why hadn’t she seen him before? It wasn’t like she’d mistake someone with silver hair; it was quite an unusual colour after all. But I’m not really that observant...It would have been easy enough for her not to notice someone.... Her head was usually in a book anyway.
“It’s strange I’ve never really seen you before, but that’s probably my fault.” She smiled “I’m Allora, it’s nice to meet you – uh?” she hadn’t caught his name. The idea of helping each other really appealed to Allora, there was no way she could have navigated the place herself, it was so damn confusing, especially with all the fog. But what if she got in the way of his journey? She didn’t want to do that. “Oh, well if that’s okay?” she asked worriedly “I- I mean I don’t want to be a burden or anything.”

“Oh, that makes two of us, that’s my homeworld as well.”
Riku blinked when he heard that and froze. The smile was still on his face but he felt a quick moment of panic. Seriously? Are you serious? Out of all the luck he could have had, he would have to run into another person who was actually from the world he was pretending he was from. Part of him knew that he shouldn’t have been surprised, not since the Gardens did seem to be the homeworld of many of the traveling individuals, but a much louder part of his brain was freaking out right now.
That’s just how I wanted to start this conversation off. Tell her I’m from somewhere and then have her being able to point out that I’m not. That’s really going to inspire confidence in her. That-
“It’s strange that I’ve never seen you before-”
-Not really since I was lying to you-
“-But that’s probably my fault.”
Riku blinked again before starting to slowly smile. There was no hint of distrust or suspicion on Allora’s face as she spoke and it was easy to see that she genuinely believed him. A part of him did feel bad that he was obviously taking advantage of a trusting individual, but it was just better that she buy into his story for the moment. Chances were that after this encounter they would never meet with each other again and that would be that. If their lives did become intertwined then… then they would deal with that then.
“My name’s Riku.” The silver-haired teen took a step closer to her, offering his hand out for her to take. Whatever magic had changed his appearance thankfully didn’t seem to actually be affecting how he felt; if Allora did take his hand then she would just feel his hand – no bandages, no cuts, no blood. “And of course it’s okay. You won’t be a burden Allora.” Which also may or may not be true. He had no idea if she had any combat skills or just how infested with heartless the world was, but…
Traveling alone… it’s never a good idea.
