The sun started to rise past the ship port, showing its reflection amongst the passing waves that hit the shores of Port Royal. Akio walked along the pier, going towards the edge. He looked towards some of the people getting ready to go to shore. They were pirate hunters, and he didn't really mind. In fact, he helped clean a few of the ships getting ready to set port. From a food stand he got a glass of wine as payment for helping the boats. It wasn't an expensive payment, but he also got something invaluable. Connections. It was something he didn't want to lose.
Ordinarily he only worked on gummi ships, but this wasn't far different. He took a drink from the wine, but as he downed it, something crashed into his back. The wine hit the floor, the glass shattered, and he was angry. He turned, but there was nobody there. "Was it just...in my head?" he muttered. Ordinarily he would ignore such a thing and blame it on the beverage but he wasn't drunk enough to get clumsy. He was angry, but if he couldn't find who did it he couldn't do anything. He sat on the edge of the pier, along with the fisherman, and looked down.
"The fish over here have been fished clean, you won't catch anything." He was ignored, which was a bit frustrating. "Why are you fishing? Like I said, there aren't any fish here!" Still ignored, as if he didn't exist. He stood up and walked towards the beginning of the pier. He noticed a black cat cross his path and froze. He wasn't superstitious, but he hated cats. A dog chased it off, and he gave a smile. "What a hell hole I live in. What happened to you, Port Royal?" Obviously he wasn't going to get an answer. Everything was so much better in the circus days, but those days were long behind him. Now he was just a stranger that gave useless advice to other strangers.
He glanced back at the sun, noticing it's slow rise. He didn't want to blind himself so he looked down at the water below it. Port Royal could be such a better place if it weren't for the pirates and the overcrowding. Normally he'd just leave the cycle to balance itself out, pirates would kidnap and murder citizens and then be taken to jail until they died. Somehow, it just kept cycling through.
He went to take a drink, but then remembered he no longer had any wine. He glared at his empty hand and looked back at the pier, but nobody looked very guilty. He waited for the sun to rise all the way up. It was his clock, and when it was at the top of the sky, it'd be his job to work the gummi ship cleaning service. Nobody came in, though. It was a dead job.

Boredom was definitely something that drove people to do rather sick and horrible things, and Ira was really no exception to that. Port Royal huh…? It didn’t particularly sound like an interesting place. It had to do with boats, that much he was sure of from the boats he could easily make out coming in and out of the harbor. The green-haired ‘teen’ was perched on a stack of boxes, legs crossed over his lap as he watched the boats with forced interest. It took a lot of his restraint not to just reach out and snap someone’s neck. It would at least cause some sort of commotion. At least something would be happening then. It would be sheer panic and for a moment his eyes strayed to one of the ship workers, Do I feel like dealing with that right now? Ira had yet to meet someone who could actually challenge him, but, there was always the chance. That thought alone made him snicker.
”Perhaps I just need to investigate,”
[/b] he hummed idly to himself, reaching up to run his fingers back through his hair thoughtfully, bright gold eyes moving about the docks. The oddly dressed boy –honestly he couldn’t even be called that, Ira was anything but a human- had a knack for picking out fun toys to play with, and his eyes landed on a blond that was half walking half stumbling along the docks, holding some sort of wine bottle in his hand. It’s kinda early to be getting drunk right? Not like it really mattered to him. Ira was just looking for someone to play with. With a grin he stood, jumping down from the box he had been standing on. The dock beneath him wobbled just a bit, but Ira ignored it before hurrying off towards the man –boy? Whatever- he had seen. It didn’t take him long to reach him, and a rather large grin plastered itself to his face as he approached. ”Kinda early to be drinking don’t you think? This is Port Royal yes? Are you just visiting?”[/b] Now came the fun part. At least, that’s what Ira viewed it as. "You must be new here." Akio was, to say the least, astonished that anyone in Port Royal would talk about alcohol consumption in a BAD way. Normally, the more you drink, the stronger liver you have. Being a "Lily Liver'd coward" was one of the worst things over here. Drinking was not only encouraged in Port Royal, it was a sign of dominance in some cases. Well, as long as you could hold it in. Still, talking about the now gone wine glass brought up old wounds for Akio. "At any rate, no, it isn't too early to be drinking." Akio gave a slight smile at the person before him. He might have been lost, but if he really was an outsider, he'd be a goldmine of information. Akio loved hearing about how bad other worlds were, it made him feel better about his own.
"A word of advice, stay away from the pirates." Akio turned from the kid and began walking, motioning him to follow. "I'll show you where I work." Ordinarily Akio would ignore anyone talking to him, but there was something special about the newcomer. Something that felt eerie, and something that Akio loved. Everybody on Port Royal loves that dark, creepy feeling. It gives them an excuse to drink, and a story to tell when they're drunk.
"My name's Akio, by the way." Akio looked towards a bar, seeing a man coming towards him. It was a bartender from earlier that didn't let him go in. At first Akio thought nothing, but that bar keep had a gun. "Son of a-" a bullet fired below Akio's feet. Glaring, Akio glared at the man, flicking his fingers as a spark hit. "Stop or I'll-" the man began to reload. "I warned him. Fire!" Akio shot a small ball of fire towards the man, setting the gun on fire. It was almost comical, the gunpowder in the gun exploded in the man's face. Akio gave a small laugh.
"If you are from the outside world, know this. The gun may be law, but it's not who holds it. It's who uses it. Come on, I feel like drinking a victory beer before heading to work." Akio headed towards the bar, hoping another bartender would be there to fill the order.

”I suppose you could say I was new,”
[/b] Ira said lightly, smiling brightly as he trailed along behind the blond. It was hard to tell just who was taller, but Ira was positive that he was the one that was taller, and the thought almost made him frown a bit. Though, he couldn’t exactly place why. I wonder if he has anything interesting on him. Golden eyes shifted, moving up and down the other thoughtfully. He didn’t have any sort of x-ray vision though, and if he wanted to search the blond he would have to actually do it. It’s easier to search them when they’re dead, he thought with a tiny sigh. ”Does everyone here drink this early?”[/b] Ira really didn’t know what time it was ‘appropriate’ to get drunk, but he had watched humans for long enough to know that they tended to get drunk in the later hours of the evening. Ira only nodded thoughtfully, ”Akio? It’s nice to meet you. My name is Ira,”[/b] he said lightly. In the end your name doesn’t matter to me at all. I’ll just kill you. Maybe he would eat what was left over, what did it matter? The names of his victims were irrelevant, all that mattered was that they suffered. Still, pleasantries were how humans got along and that was fine with him. A man, one that Ira didn’t particularly care to try and recognize, meandered over, looking more than a bit upset and the green-haired teen found himself frowning as he pulled a gun from his breast pocket. Looks like things just got interesting. He made no move to fight, or intervene, and when a gunshot was fired he only shifted back and to the side, remaining clear of any gun fire. IF the bullet had hit him, he would have gotten more involved, but Ira was content to sit back and watch as Akio used his own weapon against the man. ”That’s a nifty trick,”[/b] he remarked idly. Fire? I didn’t think humans could use magic. Another tiny detail that didn’t particularly concern him, and he found himself absentmindedly flexing his fingers. The bones shifted, crunching and moving above with ease beneath his skin. It was inhuman, unnatural… At the suggestion of a drink Ira only nodded, he didn’t drink, and had no intention to start now, but drunks were always easier to lure away and kill. ”I assume drinking is a favored hobby at a port town like this,”[/b] he said lightly, eyes moving about, calculating. Akio decided on the bar 'The Sunken Ship'. The bar was a standard wooden one, wrapped in sea weed near the windows with a boat hanging above it from a strong, sturdy rope. Akio gave a light smile, seeing that there was in fact another bar keeper. It seemed like some people knew him, he was greeted quite well upon his entrance. "This is my buddy, Ira!" Akio said with a smile, pointing towards the person following him. "Treat him like family, alright guys?" That received more of a grunt than anything else. Akio recognized one of the faces, it was the captain of the ship he had washed.
Akio turned to Ira. "Don't talk about pirates here. Most of these sailors have lost a lot of money to them. Kind of brings up bad feelings." Akio took a seat by the barstool and, as if by magic, a beer appeared in front of him. "Oh hey, my usual. Awesome." Akio took a small drink and looked to Ira. "Anything you want to know about this place?" Akio wasn't lowering his guard just yet, he wasn't one to do that sober. He loved to drink, so he figured he'd savor the taste until he got drunk.
A few murmors from behind him let Akio know that other people were on guard duty from pirates. He decided he'd make his best escape plan should a pirate group come. He carefully analyzed the area and found a path in his mind that would do the best. Taking another sip of the drink before him, Akio tried his best to listen in on some of the conversations by the Navy men.
One such conversation cought his attention. Apparantly, there was a ship going to sale without any form of directions: no map, no compass, not a single thing to help. The ship is supposed to go around the area and land inside of a cove. The captain is fearful that maps have been altered so that the directions to the cave were wrong, and there was a lot of treasure in that cave. It would help pay taxes for a lifetime.

Ira only followed along behind Akio, absentmindedly threading his fingers through his hair. It wasn’t until they entered the bar that he frowned, nose wrinkling in distaste. Ugh. This place smells awful. He kept the thought to himself though, and when Akio ‘introduced’ him as his friend the teen couldn’t help but smirk. The expression twisted into something much sweeter though when a few people actually turned to look at him, and he only waved happily towards them. I could kill all of you. That thought was what kept the rather sickeningly sweet smile on his face as he followed along besides Akio to sit down at the bar.
”Hm? Oh not really~ I was just curious. This place seems interesting really. I was hoping there would be some interesting people here to keep me entertained for a while. I can’t really stay for long,”
[/b] He said idly, swinging his legs back and forth with a wide smile towards the blond beside him. ”See anything strange lately? Other than pirates of course. What about Heartless?”[/b] Ira couldn’t say he had too much knowledge on them, but he knew what they were. Really, Nobodies, Heartless, and Corrupted were…the same in a way. They were all missing parts that made up a human. I wonder what happens when you slam all three together. That was a thought for another day though. Corrupted weren’t exactly as common as Nobodies and Heartless. They were also relatively new. Well that’s assuming everything I’ve learned is right, he thought idly, drumming his fingers on the bar absentmindedly. The blond before him certainly had his own odd quirks, he had rather shamelessly almost –or perhaps he did- killed a man. ”You could tell me about you,~”[/b] he said brightly, leaning on one of his elbows and looking over at Akio. I wonder if fighting him would even be worth it. Maybe I could keep him around… There was no reason for that though. Ira didn’t have any plans for…world domination or anything like that, he, in all honesty, just wanted to destroy things. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Words:: 346 Notes:: then they fuck

Ira brought up something Akio hadn't heard of before. Heartless. At first he assumed the boy was giving a code name to pirates but that didn't seem to be the case. Akio tapped on the table, sending sparks to his drink and lighting it on fire. He downed the burning drink and whistled for another one. "Heartless, you say? I've heard rumors of some strange creatures on the sea, but I don't think they're heartless. Of course, I don't even know what a heartless is." Akio took a small drink from the newly filled glass before looking back at Ira. "There are cursed treasures here that many men want to get. Wealth beyond wealth, they call it. Immortality. But that's just some superstition." Another small drink, but he didn't break eye contact. He turned on the stool to face Ira.
"All sailors have one big thing in common. They love to gossip about the sea. If you ask around, you'll probably get a lot more info than if you just watch everybody." Akio lit his next drink on fire and downed that one too. Strange he's asking about creatures. Most people find out everything they need to know just by saying hi. I wonder why the sailors are being so reluctant to talk to him. After clearing his throat, Akio asked for a different beverage. The new one looked the same as the old, but appearance wasn't the only factor dividing the two.
"I can tell you one thing, though. Port Royal is famous for invasion." Akio moved close to Ira's ear, whispering, "I love killing pirates. Stay until night fall and you'll be able to see fireworks." Akio threw some munny on the bar and stood up, grabbing his drink. Ira wanted to know about him, which was fair. He didn't want to talk about his past, but it was a courtesy. "I was part of a circus act. When I was young I was flexible, so they had me work with some of the acrobatics." Akio gave a small smile as he took a drink, not yet walking out of the bar. "My father was the firebreather. I don't know what my mother did, but I don't think she was part of the act. She certainly wasn't the bearded lady." Akio paused at his own joke, giving the famous, hearty, Port Royal laugh.
"Anyways, one thing led to another and I'm no longer a part of the act. I don't really keep in touch with many of the performers. I just work at a Gummi shop, polishing parts for travelers. I always found the universe fascinating." Akio felt like that was enough about himself. Once again, he set fire to his glass and downed it, throwing the glass behind him and walking out of the bar. The glass landed by a Sailor, but didn't hit him, so the sailor paid no mind.
"I'll show you the gummi shop." Akio said this in a bit of a monotone. It didn't sound like a request or a command.

A female teenager stumbled through the door of the gummi shop. She was quite in a messy state: Her blonde hair was frizzled and sizzled, her black and white outfit was covered with a mixture of dust and ashes and minor cuts and tears here and there, breathing heavily for air. Her broom was in her hand, completely fine and devoid of damage of any kind. But one would wonder: What in the world happened to this girl?
Or worlds.
Marisa wandered around once again through Tranverse Town, going on with her daily rounds. On her first and second rounds, she found: nothing. Lately, her luck in finding objects had diminished greatly. Of course, her recent achievement was finding girl whom she talked with a deal and whatnots that came afterwards.
On her third round, however, Marisa went to the First District and explored around. Only God knows how/when, but there was a gummi ship. Just sitting there. Opened for accessibility. Needless to say, it took the blonde teenager three seconds to hop in. The ship practically begged to be boarded.
It was amazing in many ways: How colorful it was. How bright it was. How freaking small it was. A few inches taller and the young mage's head would be touching the ceiling. How empty the back was. Probably because the people who owned this ship took everything with them. Slightly disappointed, Marisa went for the cockpit.
A two-seater. The dashboard of the ship was assorted with a multitude of colorful buttons and levers. Without a single thought given, the blonde sat down in one of the seats and set her broom against the dashboard. The only sound that could be heard around was the "Hmmm~" of the girl looking at the various options.
"Screw it!" Exclaimed the girl as she literally smashed the big green switch in front of her. In mere seconds, the engines ignited and blasted off towards space. The girl panicked. She didn't know how to control this giant contraption! Her only hope was to mash buttons until the right one was found!
Seconds…
Minutes…
Hours later…
Marisa had gone through all the buttons, and luckily avoiding crashing her ship. Well, it technically wasn't hers, but nor could the owners have it back. So her ship it was! Anyhow… Thinking on the subject of: I just left my home, my world behind and going straight to god-knows-where; Marisa lowered her head. She didn't say good-bye to her relatives, hell, not even a note would be left of her. Most likely she'll be assumed missing, then eaten by heartlesses a few days later.
The teenager shook her head violently. It was no time to sulk. The bright side of this was that she literally was in the dark. Her sense of exploration, finding the unknown and, well, doing stuff that wasn't in her regular schedule; all of this was enticing her to go on. Looking up with a face beaming with confidence… she saw ground coming closer.
"OH SHIT!" She yelled in a panic. "HIT THE BREAKS!!"
Alas, all the switches were pressed and none were the breaks.
Upon passing what looked like clouds, a sea of blue and a town could be seen. The bright gummi ship was heading at an angle straight towards the docks, more accurately the buildings.
"I CAN'T STOP IIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!"
Mere moments after yelling; the ship collided with the first building, and kept going through and through buildings. The impact shook Marisa enough to knock her out of the seat and hit the ceiling, then fell to the ground. Once the -everything- stopped, the blonde rubbed her head and looked around. The window was covered with many things, the inside was… okay?
"Thank god this piece-of-shit is tough."
Looking at herself, she seemed pretty fine, aside the headache. And her broom was intact as well! Reaching for her broom, Marisa went over to the hatch and opened it.
The place was in ruins, and so was a line of buildings before it. There was no time to waste, though. She did not[/b] want to be fined for the repairs. The young mage hopped down into the rubble and slipped. Mixtures of cement, glass and bricks wounded her everywhere, but nothing serious. Carefully, yet quickly, getting up; the young mage fled the scene for her dear life.
And now here she was. At the gummi shop -by chance-. Avoided contact with most of the locals near the scene, having a hard time catching her breath.
"Sonova…"

Ira couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at Akio, You don’t know what a heartless is? It was a rather interesting thought really. Ira had thought that everyone knew what those strange creatures were, but apparently not. He found himself laughing just a bit at the man as he went about lighting his drinks into flames before downing them. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of drinking? Then again it didn’t matter. Ira only snickered a little, riches? He wasn’t interested in riches. He had no need for money or materialistic objects. He didn’t need to eat, or drink, or anything like that. He was breakable like a human –to an extent- but when it came to food and water he didn’t need them.
When Akio leaned forward to whisper in his ear Ira hissed a little in annoyance, but didn’t try to bat the other away, and the ugly scowl on his face disappeared when Akio pulled away. ”Really? You must be very brave if you’re killing pirates! I could never do something like that~”
[/b] He couldn’t help but sneer on the inside, but his expression remained at a light hearted smile. He only leaned on his elbow, listening quietly to Akio’s story. ”Hm that’s interesting,”[/b] he remarked idly. Circus? What the fuck was a circus? Wait! He knew that one. They were places where freaks preformed for normal people’s entertainment or something like that right? Yes, that was it. ”A Gummi Shop?”[/b] At that Ira was genuinely curious, and when Akio offered to show him the shop the teen pushed himself to his feet following the man out of the bar in silence. He spared a glance over his shoulder at some of the men within the bar, snickering a little before returning his attention to Akio. ”A Gummi Ship allows you to travel between worlds yes?”[/b] There was a lot whistling over his head, and Ira wouldn’t have bothered to look up if the sound wasn’t getting closer and closer and after a long moment golden eyes shifted upwards just barely catching sight of the Gummi Ship as it seemed to spiral downwards. He said nothing though, and only continued on along with Akio to the Gummi Shop. Odd…[/blockquote][/blockquote] Words:: 371 Notes:: This post just fails all over the place

"Yeah. Gummi ships let you travel from one planet to another. An explorer's dream. Though they sometimes shut down, so we have to take care of the parts that do. We also trade in parts for space rock. I don't know why, just something my boss likes I guess." Akio heard a strange sound that got progressively louder. He looked up towards the sky and noticed what it was. A crashing gummi ship. "What the-" the ship landed into the ground, making a giant explosion of dirt and concrete, though the ship itself would still probably function. They can take a lot more damage than that.
"Slight detour." Akio jogged towards the location of the crash and looked at what happened. It's what he thought, the ship hit the ground, but thankfully it didn't kill anyone. That would have probably sent someone to jail, and Akio didn't really want to go to jail today. Sadly, when Akio looked around at the buildings she was by, one of them was work. "Lady luck either loves the pilot or is pissed off at me." Akio gave a small smile and jumped on to the gummi ship, near the entrance. He opened the door to the gummi ship and looked around.
"Nobody's in here." This was a bit puzzling, most gummi ship pilots would stay at the scene of the attack to get any needed medical treatment. Akio jumped off of the ship and walked around the remains. He noticed a girl with a broom running away from it. He ran after her. She's dressed like a witch...is she insane? There's no way she's going to survive in this town. They think women who can SWIM are witches! He tried to catch up to her. "Hey, wait up! You aren't in trouble, I just need to ask you some questions! I'm with the shop!" At only 19, Akio was still sure that he was 'too old for this'.

After catching her breath, the young blonde looked around. It wasn't the time to relax just yet. From the sounds of it, she had some pursuers. Boy did she not want to deal with the locals right now.
"Damn it!" The girl said spitefully. She began to look around quickly.
Not in trouble? Just want to ask questions? I won't let an officer take me to… where ever they take people to here!
Yeah, as if this panicked teenager was going to listen to these easy-going lines that might turn out into a trap and get her in trouble. She just ruined buildings and caused serious damages. How was she not in trouble? Irrationality kicked in. The young mage tossed her broom and hat down on the floor beside her and stepped in front of them, not being in the door's way. Anyone coming inside would see the piece of wood under her. As she turned around, Marisa saw two men coming in. She looked at the pair with wide eyes.
"I-i-i-i I swear I wasn't piloting that ship! I just found the hat and broom inside! The driver and passengers must have fled before I got there! And I fell in the rubble afterwards!"
She waved her arms in front of her, in protest to anything they would say.
"Okay! I was on the ship! But I wasn't the pilot, okay?!"
She derailed her own lie and made it worse, causing the teenager to panic at a greater level.
"FINE! Fine! I was the pilot, but the damned thing must have its' breaks cut or broken or something! I literally pressed on everything and nothing slowed me down! That broken piece of shit needs repairs!"
And now she had, not only sold herself out, but made things even worse. She froze in place. Literally. Three seconds later she leaped at the blond man's chest, clinging his shirt.
"Please don't send me to an awful place! It was an accident! I swear!"
She pleaded one last time, looking at the man straight into the eyes with big, open puppy eyes; on the verge of crying rivers.

Ira had expected for Akio to decide to detour towards the crashed vessel, but that didn’t keep him from groaning inwardly before hopping along behind the other with a smile. I’m so done running around. I should just kill him and leave. The thought was…tempting enough but he only chewed on his finger in attempt to, somehow, placate himself. Now wasn’t the time to start a riot, and having a dismembered body in the streets was bound to attract attention. Perhaps later. The green-haired teen only continued on after Akio, pausing to look at the Gummi Ship that had crashed. There were no occupants, and without much thought he reached out, tapping the contraption thoughtfully. I wonder what would happen if I borrowed this for a bit. Did it still run? Hell if he knew.
Golden-eyed shifted, just barely catching sight of the girl as she ran. When Akio turned after her, Ira hesitated, regarding the ship thoughtfully. Maybe later. With a sigh he started after the man, reaching up to twist his fingers through his hair. He had taken his time getting to the shop, and when he did he noticed the girl –was it Halloween? She looked like a witch! Well, prettier but still- throwing herself at Akio, begging not to be ‘sent to an awful place.’ ”Aw, C’mon The Darkness isn’t so bad,”
[/b] he said idly, though he was more than positive that wasn’t what she had been referring to. Jail perhaps. Then again, he really didn’t know much about how humans handled their miscreants. The Darkness was a hell much better than any prison though. ”Though, I guess that isn’t what you were talking about. You were piloting that ship and crashed it? Nice.”[/b] He didn’t bother to uphold his act with the brunette, and stared at her for a moment before glancing around. What was he even doing here anymore? The situation had long since slipped out of his hands, and he needed to get a move on. He was bored. Not only that the situation had just…he really didn’t have any control over it and that was something that bothered him. For a moment he paused before shifting back, glancing at Akio and the woman before sneering a little and turning about. ”Have fun,”[/b] he said idly. Whatever act he had been pulling before had dropped, a combination of boredom and annoyance had done that, but he didn’t give Akio time to really dwell on it before disappearing out of the shop. He didn’t bother to try and steal the crashed Gummi Ship, he had other means of transportation, so in the end it didn’t matter. "Uh...I said you..." Akio looked down at the girl pressed against him. He didn't really know what to say at the moment. A light blush crossed his cheeks. There weren't too many women on the place, so he didn't really get much physical contact with them. He gulped before he continued to speak, cursing the fact that he wasn't drunk. Taking a breath, he continued, "I said you weren't going to be in any trouble. I just wanted to make sure you were alright. I'm one of the workers of the shop here, and I'd be more than happy to..."
Akio turned and noticed Ira going away. He sighed, if any pirates or soldiers came it'd be up to Akio alone to make sure they didn't burn her for being a witch. He didn't really know how to at this point. He pat her on the back before backing up a little bit. "You aren't really in the right wardrobe for this area. See...I don't mean to offend you, but you're dressed like a witch. Well, at least our description of a witch. It's very important that you don't look like this, we're in a very superstitious area. I don't want you to get drowned or burned alive, alright?" At least not before I get money from repairing the ship.
Akio sighed as he remembered the amount of damage on the outside of the ship. It was going ot take a while, and if his client was dead there was no way he was going to get any money. Still, through it all, he could only think of one thing. One idea that constantly pounded at his head and tore away the very fiber of his being. He needed a beer.

The blonde spell caster was trying so hard to not cry rivers and rivers of tears, holding them back as much as possible. She heard the comment about the Darkness, but she didn't seem to understand, staring at the boy with a puzzled look. And worse, he said that her crashing her ship was "Nice"?!
What was he? A person who loves destruction and chaos? A person who loves to see the world go aflame?[/i]
The teenager thought spitefully. Her previous panic still was affecting her. Who knows, it might have been sarcasm?
The man that she was clinging tried to speak. Turning her head back to look at him; giving him her full attention in this dire moment in her life.
"I… I'm…" She muttered, switching her gaze from his face to his chest. "I'm…"
The other guy left with a small "see you later" like words. Marisa began sniffing. Holding back her tears, her eyes slightly closed. The pat on the back made her feel slightly better, and once the man took his step backwards, the young mage let go of his shirt. Her arms dropped to her sides, head now hanging down, looking at his feet. After hearing him out, the blonde calmed down and wiped her teary eyes with her sleeves.
"No offense taken…"
She was saddened to hear that witches were considered a bad thing here. Where ever here was. "Then… you'd be willing to help me?" She asked, her voice was shaken by overflowing sadness. The one thing she loved in books, the one thing she tried to be, was hated here.
No time to dwell on that…[/i]
The blonde thought. Turning 180 degrees around, she crouched down and reached for her things. Once she had her hat and broom in hand, the wanna-be witch walked over to the counter, tossed her things behind it, and jumped over it herself.
First things first…[/i]
She begun undoing her apron, followed by taking off her skirt. Luckily she wears shorts under them. Then came off the black shirt, leaving the white blouse and ribbons alone.
"How 'zat?" She asked, stretching her arms out. "Better?"
The girl whirled around slowly once. She looked puzzled again.
"If that doesn't do… Could you get some clothes as well? I'll stay here I promise."
She asked innocently. She did so not want to be burned or drowned alive. May as well ask for a lot of help from the man.

It was strange, having a girl change in front of you at Port Royal. The high moral standing of the area wouldn’t have a girl so much as adjust her clothing in front of a man. "That should be fine.” Akio didn’t really know what to say at this point. His boss wasn’t here, so he couldn’t work on the ship yet. He figured he’d help her out, even if it was towards the bottom of his priorities. "I suppose I’ll help you. What do you need help with? Oh, and I can’t really work on the ship until my boss gets in. It’ll probably cost a bit...you need to repair a few parts and you definitely need a new paint job.”
The girl definitely didn’t belong in Port Royal, and she’d get a lot of looks from passerby, but Akio didn’t really like the people in Port Royal that much anyways. She didn’t act like a witch, or at least, she didn’t act like what Akio thought a witch would act like. "I’ll be right back.” Akio jumped over the counter and walked into the back room, going into the employee fridge and shuffling around before finding the holy grail of holy grails. The last cold beer. He grabbed the glass, closed the fridge, and walked back to the counter. Looking at her from across the counter, he took a quick drink.
"I’m assuming that gummi ship isn’t yours, right? Don’t worry, a lot of people steal over here.” He took another drink of it before he continued talking, giving a slight sigh of relief from the sheer coldness of the beverage. "So why didn’t you just fly over here on your broom?” Akio gave a small laugh at the joke, not really expecting her to give him much of a reply.
